after the storm

post almost tornado, the sky was impossible colors of green, purple and yellow.

and while it was still raining, and i couldn't take my camera outside, a beautiful fully arched rainbow.

sometimes the universe has a way of showing you that everything will turn out beautifully, after the crazy chaos of it all.

totally appropriate though, as both structures were abandoned and over grown.

my new farm

an abandoned log farm house. yes please.
it may need some renovations. then again, this use to be the chicken coop.
the old barn, one of three out buildings that i fell in love with.
i'm not sure if this was another house on the property, or a storage building.

another thing that i loved about this property, the fact that you could see lake michigan across the neighbors fields. farms and rolling hills next to the lake? without a whole bunch of vacation properties in between?!!?!?

unfortunately there will be no medium format film shots of this place, i dropped my trusty twin lens camera about an hour before this and it fell apart. very sad, but hopefully the camera can be fixed and i will pass by this farm again.

new polaroid film for the sx-70, courtesy of the impossible project. still semi-experimental, but i am so happy that there are people trying to resurrect old film process', rather then letting them die off.
